Borrowing from the Waldoboro Public Library is easy, but you need to register and get a card.
 
Who can Register for a Library Card?

Waldoboro Residents
Anyone who lives in Waldoboro, pays taxes to the Town of Waldoboro, or works for an employer in Waldoboro, may obtain a free library card. Ask at the circulation desk.

Children
Children 7 to 17 years old may have their own cards with parental permission. A separate permission form is required for use of the public-access computers. These forms are available at the circulation desk.

Consortium Members
Anyone who lives in the local school district (MSAD 40) may borrow materials from the Waldoboro Public Library for free. Patron identification may be required.

Non-Residents
A non-refundable fee of $40 is charged to non-resident borrowers on an annual basis. This fee covers the borrower’s entire household.

Holiday items 1 week
Videos 1 week
7-Day Books 1 week

Materials may be renewed by telephone, email, or in person if no one has placed a reserve on the item.

Overdues
Fines for overdue items are voluntary, but they help stretch the budget.

7-day books $.25/day
 Holiday books $.25/day
All other items $.10/day

Please check with the circulation desk staff about the maximum fines requested. Lost or seriously damaged items require a replacement fee.
