Waldoboro Public Library's Code of Service--Our promise to our patrons

This is a public library, and you are entitled to good quality service:

• polite, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful service from well-trained staff.
• the direction or assistance you need to fully benefit from library services.
• confidentiality about your library use within the confines of the law.
• a wide range of materials available on site, and interlibrary loan service for items available elsewhere.
• information provided quickly and accurately, and referrals provided to other sources outside the library when appropriate.
• courteous and timely response to telephone and email inquiries.

Our goal is stated in the Long Term Plan approved by the Board of Trustees in July, 1999:

The Waldoboro Public Library will be known for its patron service and ability to provide what its patrons need for library materials.
