Book Group- We are an informal group of about 5-8 people who like to read a diversity of books. We meet on the third Wednesday of the month from 2:00-3:00 in the library's conference room. The library obtains copies of the books for the book group one month in advance of the meeting. These can then be borrowed for two weeks. Feel free to join us for all the books or just your favorites.
Upcoming:
August 21- The Housekeeper and the Professor is a novel set in modern day Japan by author Yōko Ogawa (Stephen Snyder - Translator). The mathematics professor has suffered a brain injury and can now only hold memories for 80 minutes. The housekeeper and her son Root take care of him. This is a poignant story exploring themes of relationships, memory, and mathematics when only the present moment is available.
Drop-ins are always welcome!
