The Friends assist the library throughout the year with the following activities and events: the Silent Auction, Paint the Town, the Book Barn, Hospitality (baking for different events), Programs, Waldoboro Day, bake sales, the gardens, and more.
Fundraising projects sponsored by the Friend of the Library include the Book Barn, selling used books on-line, the Book Fair and Treasures Rerun on Waldoboro Day. The proceeds are used to fulfill specific needs for the library recommended by the Director. Items such as computer software, special acquisitions, children's programs and furnishings have been underwritten by the Friends.
Members are encouraged to share their time and talents in the activities that interest them. Many hands make light work and a terrific library community. Please consider becoming a Friend. You may sign up at the front desk at the library. All that is needed is your name, contact information, and dues paid. Annual dues are $5 for an individual, $10 for a family. Those that contribute more are considered benefactors.
