Summer Reading Program– Oceans of Possibilities
The Summer Reading Program at the Waldoboro Public Library will kick off on Thursday, July 7, at 10:30 a.m.
The program will meet every Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30 from July 7 through August 11. Children will set a personal reading goal at the first meeting and work toward that goal throughout the summer. There will be weekly activity packets and all participants will receive a free book upon completion of the program. Special events are:
July 7 - Mad Science with No Limits!
July 14 - Chewonki Foundation with Animal Adaptations
July 21 - Earth Jams with musician Matt Loosigian; (rain date, August 11)
July 28 - Judy Pancoast with a 45-minute concert
entitled, “Beach Reads”
August 4 - Mr. Drew and His Animals, Too
August 11 - Wrap-up and end-of-season party
We invite all children entering kindergarten through sixth grade to join us for a summer of fun reading and more! Registration forms may be picked up at the front desk.

Children’s Summer Art Club
Note: Summer Art Club was cancelled due to low enrollment. Joyce will run Art Club in the fall and we hope to hold it in person then.
Artist and educator Joyce Steel will run the Library’s curbside Art Club program for five weeks on Wednesdays from June 29 to July 27 for children in fourth through sixth grade. The program will be a curbside take-and-make with the art kits- complete with instructions and supplies for the project-available for pick up on Wednesdays from 11:00 on.
The program is free, but space is limited. Please call the Library at 832-4484 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
Reading Comes to Life with Yoga!
Ms. Patti, a registered children's yoga teacher, will offer a yoga and literacy class for children ages 3-5 years old. This class will combine story time with creative movement and mindful breathing and will be held on Monday, July 18, at 10:00 a.m. Space is limited, so please call the Library at 832-4484 to register.
